No, this will not take an 8.0mm x 6.0mm stone. The internal measurements are 8.0mm x 5.5mm, so a stone sized 8.0mm x 6.0mm would be too wide and will not fit securely in this setting.
Will an 8 x 6 faceted stone fit in this 8x5.5mm oval setting? Sterling Silver Cast Setting 8x5.5 Oval, Height 5.0mm Rubover - Plain High Wall
